‘Drishyam 2’ is running like a rocket and nothing succeeds like success. The latest whisper coming in from its producer Kumar Mangat’s office is that ‘Drishyam 3’ is going to be made. And now with Viacom 18 on board, there is no tussle over rights.
The bigger news is that the Malayalam ‘Drishyam 3’ will not happen before the Hindi ‘Drishyam 3’, unlike the first two parts, but at the same time. And, both will release on the same date. The idea is that the suspense should not get leaked at all.
A source says that the idea of the third part was originally there as well, the stupendous collection has only strengthened it. Clearly, this franchise is hear to stay.
The modalities will soon be worked out. This one won’t take 7 years. The second part has pumped oxygen into Bollywood and there are many people who are repeating the film.
