How to download Youtube videos to your iPhone camera roll in 2023?

Downloading a YouTube video can help you save the data that would be used on viewing it over and over again. YouTube offers a subscription service called YouTube Premium, which allows you to save videos on the YouTube app on your iPhone, giving you the option to view them multiple times without needing to stream them. The saved videos can also be accessed while you’re offline. The only downside is that you can only view your saved videos until your subscription lasts. So, here is how to download YouTube videos to your iPhone camera roll to view them anytime. 

There are also services that help you with MP3 download as well. However today we will specifically talk about Downloading Videos from YouTube.

Downloading the YouTube video as a file to your phone does not require a YouTube Premium subscription, and you can keep it saved on your phone for however long you want.  

Follow these steps to download your desired YouTube video directly to your iPhone camera roll. 

Step 1: Copy the URL of the YouTube video you want to download.

Step 2: Open www.8downloader.com on your Safari browser.

Step 3: Paste the YouTube video URL in the download box.

Step 4: Click on the download button next to the download box.

Step 5: Select the resolution in which you want to download the video. Higher resolution videos will be greater in size. You can also decide whether you want to download the video with or without sound.

Step 6: Visit the Downloads folder in your iPhone. You will find our downloaded video there.

In order to move the downloaded video to Camera roll, you need to download the Documents app from the App store.

Step 7: Download the Documents app from the App Store.

Step 8: Open the Documents app and visit the Downloads folder to access your downloaded video.

Step 9: Select the video you’ve downloaded (by long-pressing it) and click the ‘Move To’ option.

Step 10: Select the Photos folder under My Files to save your video in the Camera roll. 

Step 11: Visit the Camera roll folder to access your downloaded video at any time. 

Extra Tip

You can use this process to save videos from other websites (Facebook, Instagram, Vimeo, Dailymotion etc.) as well. All you need to do is paste the link to the location of the video, as shown in Step 3 and follow other steps accordingly.
